Nima Tenji Sherpa is one of the early IFMGA/UIAGM-certified guides from Nepal trained in France & Nepal. He is the Co-founder of Kaitu Expedition and leads the Operation Department to ensure a safe and successful climb for the clients and Sherpa Guides. He is also an athlete of HIMALI, a brand that creates premium mountaineering apparel. With over 25 years of experience, he has an impressive resume as a professional mountain guide leading 35+ major successful expeditions. Nima has climbed in the Nepal Himalayas and many mountains in Europe, China, Japan, and America. He has summited
- Everest 11 times,
- Manaslu,
- Cho Oyu,
- Himlung,
- Amadablam,
- Gyachung Khang,
- Muztagta,
- Mt Denali.
- Notable first 5 ascents include Mt Raungsiyar 6224M, Mt. Langdak 6220M, Mt. Thakar Go East 6152M, Mt Khang Karpo 6646M, and the first winter ascent of Mt. Langdung 6357 M.
- In 2016, he was a part of the first Nepalese team to summit Mt. Denali via the West Rib – a steeper, more exposed, and more challenging route up the mountain.
- Among many accolades, he has received a medal from the Netherlands “Defence Attache” for his outstanding leadership in guiding the Royal Marine of Netherlands team to scale Mt. Manaslu in the spring season of 2016. Spring and winter on Manaslu are the toughest times to climb compared to the normal Autumn season.
- China Mountaineering Association also recognized him with an appreciation medal for his contribution as an instructor in training Chinese mountain guides.

Dr. Nima Namgyal Sherpa
Founder & Director
Born in the lap of the mighty Himalayas - at Khumjung village; Dr Nima Sherpa has become a prominent figure in the Mountaineering Community. With a love for outdoor adventure, he quit his medical career to follow his dream - Mountains. Probably he is the only native Sherpa working in the mountaineering industry with the highest level of academic qualification as a professional. Combining his passion & his profession, he has not only set new trends but also contributed significantly to the climbing community.
He has been on many treks and expeditions with successful summits of Mt Everest, Manaslu, Amadablam, and Denali to name a few. He has been featured on Discovery Channel, Channel Ten, HBO & many International Media for his work.
With more than 2 decades of experience working as an expedition doctor, basecamp manager, and leader, he started his own guiding company - Kaitu Expedition in 2017. He has in-depth knowledge and understanding of the strengths and weaknesses which is implemented at Kaitu Expedition to meet the expectations of clients, guides, and support staff that make Kaitu Expedition stand out. Dr Nima aspires to lead the team and establish a reputable expedition logistic service provider that can ensure SAFETY, provide quality SERVICE, and achieve SUCCESS.
He pursued his postgraduate studies in the field of high altitude medicine and holds a Diploma in Mountain Medicine, an International Diploma in Mountain Emergency Medicine, Outdoor leadership, mountain rescue, and mountaineering training in Nepal, UK, Italy & US.
Dr. Sherpa is also actively involved in social work and community development projects. He is an Executive Board Member of Himalayan Trust Nepal, the prestigious Non-Profit organization started by Sir Edmund Hillary which primarily works in the education and health sector in Solukhumbu. Besides he runs a training center to teach wilderness medicine skills and outdoor education through "Himalayan Medics" as a pioneer.
Dr. Sherpa has received many accolades for his contribution to society and the mountaineering industry as the only mountaineer in Nepal with a medical background who has done many rescue missions saving countless lives.
Sudhir Maharjan

Sudhir Maharjan is a Mountaineer + Academician, who has completed his education with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mountaineering Studies (BMS) and now further pursuing a Master of Science in Mountain and Mountaineering Science (M.Sc.MMS). During his academic career, he has published numerous articles in Voice of Himalaya, & a Journal about Tourism and Himalayan Adventures being researcher and asst. researcher respectively.
The mountains being his passion, he has summited Mera Peak (6,470m), Tsergo Ri and completed Tilicho and Thorang La Pass Trek, Langtang Valley and Gosaikunda Trek, Machhapuchre Model Trek and others.
Sanjay Maharjan

Born & raised in Nepal, Sanjay has been involved in the travel industry for over 12 years. He has completed his Bachelor in Tourism. Over the course, he has gained in-depth knowledge of Nepal & Bhutan and loves to create unique experiences in each destination for every clientele; be it adventure trekking in the Himalayas, Mountain Biking in Mustang, Yoga trips, or any tailored programs.
As an adventure seeker, he has trekked to Annapurna Base Camp, Upper Mustang, Gosainkunda Valley, Churen Himal, Mountain Biking in Mustang & many more to come.

Palden Sherpa
Climbing Guide
Palden Sherpa is one of the smiley faces in our Base Camp. He is one of our hard-working team members who started his journey from Kitchen Boy to Licensed Trek Guide. He has trekked to Everest region, Annapurna region, Manaslu Region, Upper Mustang, Nar-Phu valley.
Since 2024, he started his climbing journey with the successful summit of Mount Muztaghata (China) 7546M - 4 times in a month. In Sept 2024, he made it to the true summit of Mt. Manaslu 8163M under the guidance of our director Nima Tenji Sherpa.
Ram Gurung
Climbing Guide
Ram also hails from Laprak Village and is the cousin brother of Iman. He is one of the youngest team members and always smiling whenever you meet him. He has done the Basic first-aid course, Basic Mountaineering course, and High Altitude Rescue course by NMIA. He also has an eye for Photography, so keep an eye on him with striking poses in the mountains.
